The Mandarin Khao Yai Hotel
Accommodation and facilities:
old hotel, needs a total renovation. However the view from the higher up rooms is excellent, if no groups around it is very quiet. Breakfast is nicely served. Showers at pool are all broken, garden and tropical plants are great.
Reservation service:
as usual very good

The Mandarin Khao Yai Hotel
Accommodation and facilities:

The Mandarin Khao Yai Hotel
Accommodation and facilities:
My last visit to Khao Yai was around 15 years ago. I was surprised in negative sense about the development of this wonderful region. Many restaurants during the week are closed, in the weekend overloaded with 1 hour waiting; in general a low value for the money you spend. Unusual for Thailand, I think! I left one day earlier with my family

The Mandarin Khao Yai Hotel
Accommodation and facilities:
Nice old style hotel with good views from the higher rooms. Little bit run down, maintenance could be better. Check-in was speedy, requests of big-bed granted. Many group tours come to this hotel, so for breakfast it was very busy, however the service was speedy, the waiters even remembered that I wished two toasts the next morning. Hotel not far from Entrance of National Park.
Reservation service:
as usual very good service

The Mandarin Khao Yai Hotel
Accommodation and facilities:
One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at in Thailand. I take it as a personal insult, if none of the front office staff speaks a decent word of English, although the Mandarin Golden Valley Hotel & Resort claims to offer an international standard of service and even has an English version of their website. Apart form that, there was no English newspaper available and even not a single English TV channel. Welcome to the Land of smiles you Farangs, where no one cares about you, as only about your hard earned Dollars.
Reservation service:
excellent, however, it may be a good tip for the booking agent to check out hotels, before they offer them through their services. This hotel is certainly not a Farang friendly hotel.
